Alrighty. Just wanted to pop in and throw up something quick and new. This one's all digital. Wacom all the way through.
Had this memory stuck in my head all week, just like the person who helped create it. Figured I'd make something out of it, while the iron was still hot. :)
Thanks for checking in. And yeah. Life is good. Really good.
Alright. So here we go, this is my second consecutive art post, so here's hoping we stay consistent, right?
I was planning on waiting till after I got up Wednesday to start a long day of drawing off and on so I can have more stuff to show, but I was floating around the drawing board and stumbled onto a recent art jam, and saw that it was cop related. After going through the pages and seeing the entries (some of these cats are damn good, by the way) I got an idea of who I wanted to draw and went-a-reference-hunting, found something I liked, and went to work.
Well, it's been a looong time since I posted, sure, but it's also been a long time since I've really been able to sit and draw. About 2 months, actually.
But nevertheless. I sat down the other day. Took 2 and a half hours. And really put a Spidey drawing down. So, here you go.
Alright, well Chrissy-poo, there it is. That's imasculating, isn't it? Long fall from grace when you go from Yeoman the Great to Chrissy-poo. Does Kym call you Chrissy-poo? I think she should. But then again I like laughing at stuff like that. I'm just a poor cynical bastard, though. Oh well, there I go posting a 4 page preview, no words, of Gravedigger...for England apparently. Yep. Th'whole damn country.
That's right ladies and gentlemen, the Yeoman has spoken once again. I'm also a lazy bastard when it comes to this thing..but hell..I've been busy finishing High School and all that. :D I graduate Saturday, May 20th. I'm officially awesome. Oh yeah..I can draw too. ;)
Ok. So I have this friend. His name's Chris. You may know him, you may not. He goes by both Chris, and Yeoman the Great. But try not to flatter him too much. Anyways, he's a fellow compatriot of mine in the brutal world of the sequential arts. I haven't had a chance to talk to my fellow soldier of fortune in a while, and the last thing he said to me was. "Post More Art!!"
Heeding his horribly dreadful bark of a command, which was gently smoothed over by a milky british accent, I decided "What the hell?" Right? And alas, there be the results. Here's a quick peak at the pencils for the last 3 panels of Page 4 from Gravedigger.

Aquaman, pre water color wash. I'll see about having a completed one scanned sometime soon. Enjoy. All of you one person.
That's right. I'm back, and better than ever. Here's alittle taste of a Hawkman drawing I started this weekend, haven't had much drawing time so I had to scan it before I could finish it. But never fear, it's done now, and will be scanned and reposted on Friday. ;)
Well I know it's been FOREVER, but hell, I've been busy. Over at The Planet, they have the weekly Fan Art Contest and this is my entry for the most recent. This week's topic is "Villian's Win". Alot of the other entries are Bats related so I thought why the hell not, and continued my tirade of Bats and Croc drawings. I actually really enjoyed drawing this one and I'm happy with the way it came out. The other entries are decent except for 2 that I'm kinda worried about. My main competition are these two...we'll have to see how I fair. Voting ends tonight at midnight..If I win or lose, I'll edit this post with the results and you'll know too.
More concepts for the book I'm working on. I decided to go with a more realistic and less...well..sucky approach and this I'm becoming very very happy with.
This is the first sketch of the main character from the book they have me working on over at Ronin Studios. The details are limited but it's pretty cool, so take my word for it..and you'll just have to wait and see =D
This one's a "fan favorite" all my buddies like this one even though it's about 2 years old now...I got much better in my opinion but I can't help but enjoy some of the older stuff. Notice the crappy, crappy rain.
Ok, to kick this puppy off nice and sweet, I'll follow up the Bats pic with one of me. I guess you say I was in a bad mood when I drew it. It's only about 2 or 3 weeks old and I like it. Which is rare for me : | . Since I've had another bad day today, I thought it was a good one to use.
